The Venue Bar & Restaurant is located on the top road in Strandhill and two minutes walk from Strandhill Lodge and Suites, it has a cosy atmosphere with an excellent restaurant overlooking Strandhill Bay.

Famous for its, crab claws, and seafood chowder served with that wonderful soft-on-the-inside-crunchy-on-the-outside delectable French bread, The Venue Pub and Restaurant Strandhill serves only the freshest catch and homemade breads.

But for those not inclined toward seafood, other treats on the menu include char-grilled steaks, and vegetarian options, along with lighter fare for lunch, of soup, salads (delicious, crisp, and fresh), and open sandwiches, on brown or white bread.

We also have a wide range of a la carte menu options.

Brees Bar

Located in the old part of Strandhill; Brees Bar is a great locals bar that serves a great pint – it is located on the Sligo road just behind Keane’s Centra Petrol Station.

Mammy Johnstons Ice Cream Parlour

Exquisite home-made Ice-cream with over 100 choices also serves crepes, pancakes and all manner of goodies for children young and old!

The Strand Bar and Jade Garden Chinese Restaurant – Trad Music Venue 071 91 68140

The Strand is renowned in Sligo as one of the best bars in the county, traditional and well finished very busy spot with great features and traditional food. The Strand also serves food daily until 4pm and the restaurants open afterwards. The Strand also do Pizzas until 11pm daily and the Jade Garden Chinese opens from 5pm daily.

The Dunes Bar – Live Music Venue Serve Food

Located past the venue on the left another great spot with live music at weekends, lively comfortable and friendly. Also has Sky Sports. They serve bar food after 5pm great burgers and hot-dogs. Have a great Open-Mic night on Mondays.

Shells Café

A great cafe located directly opposite the seafront, serves home-cooked food and has a super breakfast and lunch menu. Jane and Myles are the owner/operators and it is well worth a visit always busy, always good and always friendly. Won best Casual Dining venue in Connacht last year.

Strandhill Golf Club serves food on a daily basis, also does weddings, parties and large events. It has a lovely cafe bar area overlooking the golf course and Strandhill Bay. You can book a round of golf for as little as €25. Just ask at reception for special deals. We can make a reservation for a tee time for you.
